Crosswind Landing In Naha : Dragonair KA378 - Hong Kong >> Okinawa

I went Okinawa while Typhoon 13 (Japanese callsign of typhoon) approaching Taiwan. In Okinawa I can also felt the strong wind of typhoon. My Taiwan friends told me that the typhoon is strong. But they were in summer holiday so typhoon attack Taiwan mean they lost one holiday because of bad weather. Anyway, enjoy.

Taxiing to 25L. Much better than 07R I think. Runway 25 in using not only saving time, but also can have better view while landing.

Not really good weather. Maybe caused by typhoon.

Keep heading towards Okinawa.

I spend a few time to take photo in aircraft. I go to the rear of the aircraft and pretending I am finding toliet. There are so many passenger that will starling at you while you are taking photo.

A cross wind landing. This is my first time that fly with a cross wind. Today wind is so strong. 16 knots of normal blowing and 30 knots of gust wind. Aircraft are shaking while landing. But finally pilots did a nice landing.

Naha's international terminal is smaller than domestic terminal.

Only have 3 boarding bridge so I need to take bus that day. A shot of RR Trent engine.



Review : Good flight with good aircraft and good crew. Dragonair's catering service is better than Cathay's so much. I think thats why Dragonair got "The best regional airlines" award from skytrax. Also, many times I watch video that about cross wind landing, almost all pilot will let the aircraft land on the runway with a hard landing. But this time with a soft landing. It is so unimaginable.

This is the first time I took low cost airlines. It was a great experience and also changed my mind about low cost airlines.

Review:
This trip was really changed my mind about low cost airlines. Before this flight I am resist about taking low cost airlines. The worst things about this flight is the meal. It is too expensive. Like a cola cost 25HKD. But I think it is the way their earn money.
